  • Eliminate it completely. Cut it out of your diet for at least 2 to 3 weeks. It takes at least 2 weeks for you to overcome the urge to eat it. Don't eat any treats, baked goods, candies or snacks with sugar. Avoid all beverages with sugar also. Drink small amounts of milk because it is loaded with sugar.
  • Exclude starches too. Starchy food is converted into sugar in your system. Refrain from eating potatoes, rice, pasta, breads, corn made food, and cereals for those first 2 weeks.
  • Moderate. After the first few weeks of elimination, slowly add those foods back in. Choose one favorite goodie to eat a week. This way you can still have your treat, but in a controlled way.
  • Water. Drinking water throughout the day helps curb hunger pains and urges.
  • Keep busy. Often times your appetite depends on your activity level. If you are sitting around and bored, your mind probably turns to food.
  • Essential oils. These are very powerful appetite suppressants. Use common sense and only the best quality for effectiveness.
